CYP Design & Construction Joint Venture (CYP D&C) has been contracted to design and build the tunnels and stations for the Metro Tunnel Project. 

 

CYP D&C brings together three of Australia's leading construction partners John Holland, Lendlease, and Bouygues Construction. 

 

The Metro Tunnel Project will untangle the City Loop by taking three of Melbourne’s busiest train lines through a new tunnel under the city. It will create a new end-to-end train line from Sunbury to Cranbourne/Pakenham, with twin nine-kilometre tunnels and five new underground stations at Arden (to be renamed North Melbourne), Parkville, Anzac, and two new CBD stations - State Library and Town Hall - which will directly connect to the City Loop. 

 

 

We are looking for an experienced Night Shift MEP Supervisor to coordinate & supervise the installation of the Electrical works across our CBD stations. There will be an uplift based on this role being night-shift. 

  
Responsibilities of the role include; 

 

  • Facilitate handover process between variable shifts
  • Ensure MEP subcontractor on-site compliance with relevant scope and specification requirements
  • Manage MEP subcontractors to meet program, safety and quality requirements
  • Play a key role in the ongoing review and onsite compliance of Activity Method Statements (AMS)
  • Ensure compliance with the GMR’s by staff & subcontractors
  • Ensure all community relations and compliances are upheld
  • Maintain attitude and behaviours of all staff and workforce pertaining to OHS are aligned with successful outcomes
  • Liaise with the civil & building teams to ensure access is achieved as required to facilitate MEP works in accordance with the project program
  • Chair weekly progress and coordination meetings with respective contractors
  • Conduct audits on respective contractors to confirm compliance with CYP requirements
  • Have active role in upskilling MEP and sider team in on-site MEP activities

 

To be successful in this key role, you must have: 

 

  • Trade Qualification or similar.
  • Diploma, Building/Construction Project Management
  • 2-5 years previous electrical construction experience in a similar role.
  • Substantial Industry experience in Trade and Construction.
  • Technical competency and understanding in the area of supervising.
  • Skill in review of design documents, ability to understand drawings, provide constructability review and implement final design plans.
  • Extensive Leading Hand experience.
  • People and Performance Management of subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour.
