Title:  Senior Project Coordinator

CYP Design & Construction Joint Venture (CYP D&C) has been contracted to design and build the tunnels and stations for the Metro Tunnel Project.

CYP D&C brings together three of Australia's leading construction partners John Holland, Lendlease, and Bouygues Construction.

The Metro Tunnel Project will untangle the City Loop by taking three of Melbourne’s busiest train lines through a new tunnel under the city. It will create a new end-to-end train line from Sunbury to Cranbourne/Pakenham, with twin nine-kilometre tunnels and five new underground stations at Arden (to be renamed North Melbourne), Parkville, Anzac, and two new CBD stations - State Library and Town Hall - which will directly connect to the City Loop.

As we begin to evolve into our next phase of construction, we now have an opportunity for a highly experienced Senior Project Coordinator with multi-discipline construction experience to join the CYP D & C JV team and play a key role in the delivery of the new underground stations for this iconic Melbourne project. 

Responsibilities of the role include;

• Ability to forecast, manage and report on complex budgets.
• Monitor and control the financial management of direct reports.
• Ability to identify project safety risks / hazards, conduct and document assessments and / or JSAs or SWMS, carry out site compliance audits.
• Plan and manage basic and short-term projects with few participants and stakeholders.
• Have detailed knowledge of and experience completing the key job tasks.
• A strong awareness of Client needs and works to meet expectations.
• Knowledge of risk management principles and ability to apply principles to simple issues within the job.

Consideration will be given to those Senior Project Coordinators who possess significant and relevant experience with complex building construction projects as well as the following;

• Minimum 10 years post graduate construction management / engineering experience with 5+ years site based
• Experience on > $300 M Projects in a similar role highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams of supervisors and various trades and track against key programme milestones
• Experience developing and implementing site logistic plans with consideration against multiple programme, safety, access and regulatory factors
• Advanced commercial acumen, including cost reporting, forecasting and opportunities.
• Understanding of the Quality Management Plans, Safety Management Plans, Environmental Management Plans and Projects Design Management Plans

To complement these skills, you will also have a professional attitude, be self-motivated with excellent time management and communication skills and a genuine desire to play a critical role in the successful delivery of this major project.
