About the Alliance
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support to supervisors, engineers, and safety team primarily up skilling, setting standards and ensuring consistency across each precinct / Pre-fabrication areas. (Cranes and specialised Heavy Lift and Transport equipment)
- Undertake inspections and audits of subcontractors prior and during lifting operations
- Support to sub-contractors in on-boarding and setting the benchmark of T2D expectations
- Up-skilling sub-contractors
- Work in conjunction / dotted line to Lifting Manager with direct report to Operations Safety Manager
- Maintain comprehensive safety records, manage statutory reporting requirements, and monitor safety performance progress
- Investigate all causes of events and recommend actions to prevent future occurrences
What we are looking for;
- A safety professional with a Diploma Safety in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
- SME or extensive experience in Dogging, Rigging and preferably crane operations
- Ability to interpret project related documents, preparing reports and monitoring compliance documentation
- Ability to build relationships and rapport with people at all levels
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls
- Strong investigative and auditing skills.
