We are currently looking for an Assistant Facility Manager to join the Metro operations team in Adelaide to support the Facility Manager in the successful delivery of the Adelaide Metro Operations (AMO) Facility Management (FM) Services Sub-Contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out facility maintenance activities, identifying and solving issues as they arise to ensure consistent and compliant delivery of all services.

 

Responsibilities of the role include;

  • Delivery of ‘Hard’ FM Services O&M to the AMO Light Rail depot building and grounds, rail corridor, tram stops and associated engineering services
  • Assist in the management of the FM Services contractual performance (KPI’s)
  • Awareness of FM Services PPM, Reactive and legislative compliance requirements for the contract
  • Liaise with specialist technical sub-contracted resources in the delivery of FM services operations and maintenance
  • Work in accordance with the JH Contract Management systems, processes and procedures for this specific FM Services subcontract in liaison with JH Corporate and mobilisation team members
  • Assist in producing the monthly summary project status reports as required.
  • Provide support to the Facility Manager for the FM Services contract including deputising during any absences.
  • Self-deliver maintenance works and inspections within capabilities and/or monitor subcontractors to deliver the works within budget, time, quality and regulatory standards.
  • Notify the Facility Manager and Client of FM Services maintenance works, particularly any with potential to disrupt Tram Operations
  • Participate in AMO (and/ or John Holland) emergency management responses including participation in emergency drills
  • Promote the active engagement of stakeholders and assist in developing and maintaining relationships between the project and the client, FM services and subcontractors, community and other external parties


To be successful in this key role, you must have;

  • Relevant experience in FM or an equivalent Engineering discipline, typically with a trades certificate
  • Experience in FM services maintenance delivery
  • Experience and capability for multi-disciplinary maintenance inspections, fault diagnosis and rectification 
  • Experience of working with multi-discipline subcontractors
