About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Tunneller to join our Head Office team based in Pyrmont or Melbourne (travel to sites will be required). This newly designed key role reports directly to an Executive General Manager and has overall responsibility for the Group’s technical tunnelling solutions. You will have overall accountability for the effective management of internal resources and external consultants, coordinating multiple disciplines and construction and engineering requirements all to ensure design meets with JH expectations and is delivered to time, client requirements and budget.


The role may involve leading several packages of work ensuring compliance, leading design meetings, ensuring tender technical requirements/assurance are achieved by integrating design and construction, examining all potential construction design and delivery options.  Key to this role is demonstrating robust management skills – optimising the time and focus of design partners driving cost effective outcomes, managing change, understanding the technical requirements whilst maintaining focus on ‘whole of project’ issues.


About You:

To succeed in this role, it is essential you have extensive tunnelling experience, working on major design and construction projects either with a main contractor or tunnel design environment across a number of tunnel techniques such as TBM, Mined Tunnel, Drill & Blast etc construction with a demonstrable appreciation for the importance of practicality, relevance, time and budget.
