About the Project

 

Spanning more than 1,700km, the Australian Government is delivering Inland Rail through the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC), in partnership with the private sector.

 

The Narrabri to North Star (N2NS) section is one of 13 projects that complete Inland Rail and is an upgrade of approximately 171 km of track within the existing rail corridor and construction of approximately 1.6 km of new rail track. The works are required to accommodate the operation of future planned 1,800 m double-stacked freight trains.

 

The contract for the delivery of Narrabri to North Star (N2NS) was awarded to Trans4m Rail in October 2020.  Trans4m Rail combines the experience of John Holland and SEE Civil. 

 

About the role

 

Our Narrabri to North Star project is back into full swing after the Holiday shutdown.  We have the below roles available in our Drainage Infrastructure team helping to build culverts, base slaps and aprons.

 

Key Roles;

 

  • 3 x Carpenter/Form Workers
  • 3 x Steel Fixers
  • 3 x Concreters (Finish)
  • 3 x Mobile Plant (Must be experienced and ticketed on Rollers and Posi Track  - Front End Loader an advantage)

 

Project Details

 

  • Employed Full Time directly with John Holland 
  • 2/1 Roster (Travel in Thursday and travel out Thursday)
  • FIFO from Brisbane or Sydney or DIDO from approved areas 4-5 hrs from Moree, NSW
  • Paid Weekly, RDO Accruals, Sick Leave accruals paid out at end of project, Annual Leave with 17.5% Loading
  • Flights, camp accommodation, all meals and Transport provided whilst on roster

 

Minimum Requirements to be considered;

 

  • White Construction Card (clearly legible) 
  • RIW Card (We can organise if required)
  • Ability to pass a full functional medical and Cat 3 Rail medical (Drug and Alcohol)
  • Trade qualified 
  • Australian Right to Work Documents
