About the Project

Spanning more than 1,700km, the Australian Government is delivering Inland Rail through the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC), in partnership with the private sector.

The Narrabri to North Star (N2NS) section is one of 13 projects that complete Inland Rail and is an upgrade of approximately 188 km of track within the existing rail corridor and construction of approximately 1.6 km of new rail track. The works are required to accommodate the operation of future planned 1,800 m double-stacked freight trains.

The contract for the delivery of Narrabri to North Star (N2NS) was awarded to Trans4m Rail in October 2020.  Trans4m Rail combines the experience of John Holland and SEE Civil. 


About the Role

Trans4M Rail has commenced mobilisation and currently has an opportunity for an Employee Movements Coordinator, based in Moree, NSW, to join the team and be a part of this iconic Inland Rail Project. This role will see you providing support with logistics, Human Resource generalist,  mobilisation and demobilisation activities for the Project. 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Coordinate project mobilisation requirements including transport and accommodation through various Trans4m systems and applications 
•    Track and maintain all project workforce movements in Project roster, including flights and accommodation bookings, bus requirements and motor vehicle allocation
•    Ensure all Project stakeholders and other Departments are informed of all employee movements in a timely manner 
•    Coordinate and process Project Visitor and Short-Term Worker Requests in line with Project site access requirements
•    Assist with general queries from the broader project team and external parties as required 
•    Provide administrative support to the Project People and Social Performance team including – new starter documentation, mobilisation requirements, employee transfers and movements 
•    Create, Implement and maintain complex tracking spreadsheets for People and Social Performance Data 
•    Compose and collate daily, weekly and monthly reports relating to the People and Social Performance function  
•    Manage and maintain project records, ensuring that information is accurate, up-to-date and stored 
•    Liaise with Project team to ensure the timely submission of daily, weekly & monthly reports  
•    Interface with People & Social Performance, Administration and Safety disciplines 
•    Assist in the implementation of HR policies, procedures and initiatives in alignment with Project needs
•    Support new employees during their onboarding which may include supporting coordination of inductions and other Project specific requirements
•    Assist with payroll, benefits and compensation administration
•    Generate reports as required from various databases, which may include information on absenteeism, annual leave and performance management data 
•    Establish good working relationships within the business Community

Job Description

About You

To be successful in this key role, you must have:
•    Two years’ experience in a Project or Site Administration based role is highly desirable
•    Human Resource generalist – understanding of best practice HR Principles
•    Proficient experience in Excel and other Microsoft office programs
•    Ability to manage time effectively to ensure timely delivery of all tasks
•    Promoting positive and effective working relationships
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Strong IT literacy with the ability to learn and pick up new systems
•    Proven time management, planning and organisational skills
•    Flexibility to work within a fast paced and dynamic Project team environment
•    This is a local based role
