About the Project


Spanning more than 1,700km, the Australian Government is delivering Inland Rail through the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC), in partnership with the private sector.


The Narrabri to North Star (N2NS) section is one of 13 projects that complete Inland Rail and is an upgrade of approximately 171 km of track within the existing rail corridor and construction of approximately 1.6 km of new rail track. The works are required to accommodate the operation of future planned 1,800 m double-stacked freight trains.


The contract for the delivery of Narrabri to North Star (N2NS) was awarded to Trans4m Rail in October 2020.  Trans4m Rail combines the experience of John Holland and SEE Civil. 


About the role


Our Narrabri to North Star Inland Rail project is into full swing and due to increase in Lay Down Pads along the alignment we are requiring skilled and experienced Yardy's to join the logistics team to ensure the project is running as efficiently and effectively as possible.


Key Details;


  • Operating 32t Forklift (Omega 36 D) unloading up to 23 tonne pre-cast
  • Operating smaller Forklifts in the yards
  • Ticketed and skilled dogman when working on the ground
  • Must be well organised and effective communicator - High Volume of trucks
  • HR Licence to drive Fuel Truck or flatbed when required to fill in
  • Ability to lead a team - potential for leading hand duties
  • Strong administration and systems knowledge (Supporting the logistics administrator)


Project Details


  • 2/1 Roster - Travel in Thursday (your time) and Travel Out Thursday (company time)
  • FIFO from Brisbane or Sydney
  • DIDO up to 4-5hrs from Moree or Narrabri in NSW
  • Full Time roles, weekly pay and paid under John Holland Civil NSW EBA
  • Standard day is 10hrs
  • Camp accommodation, Meals and Transport provided
  • John Holland Full Functional, Cat 3 NSW Rail Medical and ARTC compliance organised by us if required
