About the Project

 

Spanning more than 1,700km, the Australian Government is delivering Inland Rail through the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC), in partnership with the private sector.

 

The Narrabri to North Star (N2NS) section is one of 13 projects that complete Inland Rail and is an upgrade of approximately 188 km of track within the existing rail corridor and construction of approximately 1.6 km of new rail track. The works are required to accommodate the operation of future planned 1,800 m double-stacked freight trains.

 

The contract for the delivery of Narrabri to North Star (N2NS) was awarded to Trans4m Rail in October 2020.  Trans4m Rail combines the experience of John Holland and SEE Civil. 

 

About the role

 

Trans4m Rail are seeking expressions of interest for General Labourers to commence working on the N2NS project. These positions will be varied roles throughout the site. We are looking for candidates who are keen to learn, be part of a team and most of all be realiable, driven and hardworking.

 

Our project is long term and we require people who are seeking fulltime work and are invested in thier own development. If you reside in one of the Moree Plains, Narrabri or Gwydir Shires and are looking for a full-time position to work on this exciting project we encourage you to register your expression of interest today.


 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Working under the direction of the leading hand, site supervisor or superintendent
  • To work within a team environment with the ability to take direction
  • Perform general labourer duties across different project departments
  • Undertake all works in accordance with site and company HSE policies and procedures.
  • Participate in civil construction and earthworks activities including:
     
    • Storage yards
    • Unloading pre-cast
    • Rigging, Dogging and Spotting as required
    • Pre Stress Bridges, Drainage and culverts
    • Minor concrete work and formwork
    • Pit and concrete pipe
    • Survey labourer

Skills, Qualifications & Experience required:

 

Criteria:

  • White card
  • Drivers Licence
  • Ability to work with medium physical manual tasks
  • Good communication skills, ability to listen and take direction
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment

 

Desirable Skills

  • Mobile plant operator tickets
  • MR / HR Truck Licence
  • LF - Forklift Licence
  • Rigging and Dogging Licences
  • Rail Safe working experience and qualifications
