About the Project

Spanning more than 1,700km, the Australian Government is delivering Inland Rail through the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC), in partnership with the private sector.

The Narrabri to North Star (N2NS) section is one of 13 projects that complete Inland Rail and is an upgrade of approximately 188 km of track within the existing rail corridor and construction of approximately 1.6 km of new rail track. The works are required to accommodate the operation of future planned 1,800 m double-stacked freight trains.

The contract for the delivery of Narrabri to North Star (N2NS) was awarded to Trans4m Rail in October 2020.  Trans4m Rail combines the experience of John Holland and SEE Civil. 

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our project who values the environment they work in and has a high priority for safety. You will be expected to complete all tasks to the highest standards and be able to work as part of a team.

If you have experience as a Site Engineer  we are interviewing immediately in multiple disciplines, you could become a part of our Drainage & Structure; Civil Earthworks; Rail & Track or our Roads and Level Crossing teams. Submit your resume today;

Key Project Details:

  1. 2 & 1 Roster (Fly or drive in on Thursday on your time and return on Thursday our time)
  2. FIFO from either Brisbane or Sydney / DIDO options limited to 3-4 hours from Moree, NSW
  3. Long term work
  4. Camp Accommodation - All food and travel provided



To be successful in this role:

The successful candidate will display strong technical skills in all elements of civil engineering particularly with civil infrastructure with a high safety focus, and experience on projects.

  • Civil Engineering Degree
  • A minimum of 2 years in a similar role
  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Knowledge of construction and worksite WHS requirements
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Projects essential)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Be willing to work in regional areas
