Job Description

The John Holland CPB Contractors JV (JHCPB) is delivering the $3.9bn Rozelle Interchange and Western Harbour Tunnel Enabling Works project. The Rozelle Interchange is the final stage of WestConnex. It is a new underground motorway interchange which provides connectivity to the M4-M5 Link Tunnels and the City West Link, and an underground bypass of Victoria Road between Iron Cove Bridge and Anzac Bridge. The Rozelle Interchange also provides a connection to the future Western Harbour Tunnel.
Rozelle Interchange is being delivered for Transport for NSW under a Design and Construct Deed. 

The project scope includes the following:
•    An interchange at Rozelle and associated infrastructure providing connections from the Main Tunnel Works infrastructure to the surface road network at City West Link, Victoria Road, Iron Cove Bridge and Anzac Bridge
•    Provision for connections to the future Western Harbour Tunnel
•    Provision of more than 9 hectares of new public open space located at the site of the dis-used Rozelle Rail Yards. 


Long Description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Supervisor - Electrical to join the Rozelle Interchange Mechanical and Electrical team, reporting into the Superintendent - Electrical. 

The role will incorporate a variety of responsibilities, including:
•    Contribute to a safe working culture
•    Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of the contract, the specifications, the EBA, safety and environmental regulations
•    Effectively coordinate and supervise M&E trade contractors
•    Ensure all workers are inducted onto site before commencing work
•    Monitor construction progress and compliance to safety and environmental standards
•    Ensure accurate timesheets are submitted to the pay office within specified timeframes
•    Manage site security and material/plant deliveries and storage and general housekeeping
•    Ensure all operations are performed in accordance with agreed safe methods of work
•    Forward planning daily/weekly/monthly construction work including resource requirements and trade coordination.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:
•    Experience on a major building project
•    Relevant qualification / certification
•    Site experience in a similar role, leading a team
•    Experience working in an underground environment 
•    Experience in applying principles of construction to deliver works in accordance with scope of works technical criteria (SWTC)
•    Demonstrated commercial experience includes planning up to 4 weeks ahead and monitoring of resources within area of accountability
•    Proven experience in leading a safety culture
•    Excellent leadership, Planning & Organising skills
•    High problem solving and conflict management skills.
