Job Description

The John Holland CPB Contractors JV (JHCPB) has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the $3.9bn Rozelle Interchange and Western Harbour Tunnel Enabling Works project. The Rozelle Interchange is the final stage of WestConnex. It is a new underground motorway interchange which provides connectivity to the M4-M5 Link Tunnels and the City West Link, and an underground bypass of Victoria Road between Iron Cove Bridge and Anzac Bridge. The Rozelle Interchange also provides a connection to the future Western Harbour Tunnel.
Rozelle Interchange is being delivered by RMS under a Design and Construct Deed. 

The project scope includes the following:
- An interchange at Rozelle and associated infrastructure providing connections from the Main Tunnel Works infrastructure to the surface road network at City West Link, Victoria Road, Iron Cove Bridge and Anzac Bridge
- Provision for connections to the future Western Harbour Tunnel
- Provision of up to ten hectares of new public open space located at the site of the dis-used Rozelle Rail Yards. 

We are seeking a Risk Manager.
The role will incorporate a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Providing guidance to ensure that all key risks are identified, assessed, mitigated and managed;
- Supporting the project by conducting the required risk management processes, including the roll out of risk management plans and procedures;
- Maintaining risk management software;
- Presenting risk management outcomes to a range of stakeholders, including senior management and the client as required;
- Involvement in the lessons learned processes to inform the ongoing planning and continuous improvement process;
- Facilitating risk workshops as required;
- Communicating any improvements to the risk management procedures, processes and software to confirm they stay up to date and reflective of the business needs;
- Using both quantitative and qualitative rating assessments such as deterministic costings and probabilistic modelling;
- Fostering and developing a Risk Management Culture that ensures risks and opportunities are proactively identified, assessed and controlled.

To be considered you will have:
- A tertiary degree in Risk, Engineering, Construction or Planning
- Minimum of 5 years’ previous experience in a similar role in risk management with the engineering, construction or resource industries.
- Proficiency in the operation and application of project risk assessment processes and tools.
- Understanding the various techniques and methodologies to risk management, for example probabilistic and/or deterministic risk assessment techniques.
- Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Previous experience with risk management software tools.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environment.
- Understanding of contractual, legal, commercial and legislative compliance and regulatory frameworks, system and key risks.
