About the role
Working for John Holland as part of the Cross Yarra Partnership Maintenance team, the Maintenance Planner will manage the planning of the technical maintenance services for the Melbourne Metro Tunnels and Stations.
The role will ensure that the maintenance is planned and coordinated in compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, contractual obligations, business procedures and relevant requirements in relation to rail accreditation.
Key accountabilities
- Together with the Maintenance Delivery Manager and the Discipline Manager, develop the overall maintenance strategy for all Maintained assets during operations
- Support the successful acceptance of O&M Manuals, technical maintenance plans and schedules from the Design and & Construct (D&C) team and utilise these documents in the implementation of the maintenance strategy.
- Delivery of periodic maintenance plans for both hard and soft services. Including liaising with the Franchisee and other stakeholders during the planning process
- Input and ongoing management of the periodic maintenance plans in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Ensure that maintenance is planned to minimise disruptions to the franchisee and train operations in accordance with the project requirements and services specification.
- Liaising with contractors and all their personnel to ensure they are aware of the maintenance schedules and their obligations for compliance and attendance, including managing the permit issuing and approval process.
- Collaborate with the Discipline Managers and the Maintenance Delivery Manager, in analysing asset performance, to optimise the scheduling and delivery of planned activities and to minimise asset whole of life costs.
- Accountable for ensuring all maintenance activities are undertaken safely with a focus on Zero Harm
- Minimise abatement risks by performance monitoring and reporting in line with Services Specification and contract KPIs
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the client representative, contractual key stakeholders, and end users
- Ensure legislative obligations are met, including compliance with the relevant Building Codes and regulatory statutes.
To be successful in this role you must have
Essential
- Trade or Engineering or Planning Qualification
- Hands on site experience with the ability to understand equipment and systems to facilitate problem solving in a complex operating environment
- Ability to work within a diverse team in a complex operational environment
- Demonstrative experience in site works planning and coordination
Desirable
- Exposure to contractual, commercial, and legislative compliance requirements
- Demonstrative experience in safety, environment, and risk management including permit issuing and recipient processes
- Client relationship and stakeholder management
