About the Project

John Holland, Stantec and KBR are partnering with Sydney Water in an Alliance to deliver the North-West Treatment Hub – a brownfield treatment program that will commence with a $500 million upgrade of Rouse Hill and Riverstone wastewater treatment facilities. The project will achieve circular economy outcomes, increasing recycled water production, improving the quality of wastewater byproducts for reuse, and leveraging innovative treatment technologies that reduce carbon footprint. Upgrades will support the treatment of a further 45 megalitres of wastewater each day, to cater for growing northwest communities. The Project will deliver a new state-of-the-art biosolids facility at Riverstone, with new technology to improve the quality of wastewater byproducts.

Key Responsibilities:

We're currently looking for an Electrical Project Engineer with HV experience to join our NWTH alliance. The primary objective of this position is to be responsible for the management and implementation of HV Electrical works on North West Hub Alliance to ensure time, cost, quality, safety, and contractual targets are achieved. 

 

  • Encourage the Project’s vision, purpose, ways of working, values, mindsets, and behaviours.
  • Understand, comply, and remain current with all NWHA policies, procedures, and compliance training as relevant to your role.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and application of, legislation, industry standards and technological innovations as relevant to your role.
  • Establish a safe place of work by leading in terms of own behaviour and actions and holding team members accountable.
  • Report financial requirements to ensure site objectives are met.
  • Assist in production of a fully detailed forecast Cost to Complete and reports.
  • Ensure profitability is maximised against individual cost codes so as to generate contingencies.
  • Ensure concise and timely contribution to weekly and monthly reports for Project works.
  • Generate accurate Site Diaries daily, and train Site Engineer and Graduate Engineer in requirements.
  • Identify and assist in the Head Contract variations, including the identification of possible variations or changes to scope.
  • Development of Work Area Plans (WAPs), including Work Packs (WPs), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Task Risk Assessments (TRAs), and allocation of lots.
  • Oversee subcontractors, consultants and suppliers work in accordance with contract requirements ensuring high performance in terms of time, cost, and quality.

To be successful:

  • ­Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in a site based Electrical Project Engineer or  within a similar industry and project. 
  • High Voltage (HV) experience is essential 
  • Experience throughout the full project lifecycle is essential 
  • Ability and willingness to be upskilled in Rail Signalling 
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and suppliers. ­
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. ­
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. ­
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., CAD, signalling design tools).
