About the Project

 

John Holland is delighted to have been selected to deliver the M7 - M12 Interchange, which includes widening the M7 between the M5 at Prestons and Richmond Rd at Oakhurst, and building a new interchange between the M7 and M12 and an upgrade to Elizabeth Drive to connect it to the M12.

 

This major project will significantly improve travel times and road congestion for residents and improve freight movement throughout Western Sydney. The project will integrate the M7 with the new M12, a toll-free motorway connecting travellers to the new Western Sydney International Airport. 
 

About The Role

 

We are currently looking for an experienced Community Advisor to play a key role in the design/planning phase as well as project delivery. Assist to develop and implement a stakeholder and community relations program supporting the Project engagement objectives. Project a strong and positive image of the Project to the community and stakeholders. Manage stakeholder and community issues and provide advice to the project team on communications, community, and stakeholder relations activities to enable successful project delivery. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Identify stakeholder and community issues and develop strategies to minimise impacts.
  • Ensure client expectations are fully understood and develop good working relationships with the client.
  • Assist to develop and implement the Stakeholder Relations and Communications Management Plan for the project including developing and implementing plans and procedures for a specific Area, ensuring they are updated as required
  • Provide advice and assistance to the construction teams on community and stakeholder activities so communication and notification requirements are understood in accordance with the Stakeholder Relations and Communications Management Plan
  • Manage responses to all project related communications matters including via phone, email, website, and social media in line with agreed client framework
  • Liaise with construction teams, community, and stakeholders to respond to the project number and manage all queries in accordance with the client’s framework.
  • Co-ordinate and support regular stakeholder and community meetings as required, including Community Reference Groups.

 

Skills and experience

 

  • Previous experience in a similar position 
  • Construction project experience will be highly regarded
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic and busy environment
  • An individual to work in an organisation that cares about you and your career development
  • An excellent people person with well-developed communication skills
