The Project

John Holland, CPB Contractors and Ghella Joint Venture (JCG) has commenced design and construction work for the Sydney Metro West - Eastern Tunnelling Package (ETP). 

 

ETP includes the construction of 3.5-kilometre tunnels under Sydney Harbour between The Bays and the Sydney CBD, and the excavation of Pyrmont and Hunter Street stations. This is the final piece in the puzzle to deliver the city-shaping Sydney Metro West project.

The role

Supervising the weekend crew, working roster Thursday - Sunday, day shift only. 

  • Reporting to the Superintendent.
  • Supervise and coordinate all mechanical work on the heavy underground mobile plant equipment.
  • Experience with breakdowns and preventative maintenance
  • Lead and manage the subcontractors and subcontractors’ performance.
  • Building positive relationships with stakeholders and clients.
  • Scheduling and documentation.
  • Maintaining the records of project updates, daily reports, timesheets, and material usage.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Mechanical trade qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience with mobile plant equipment.
  • Tunnelling experience.
  • Strong understanding of OH&S site compliance requirements
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
