The Project

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.

The role

As Safety Advisor you will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the safety function under general supervision and to provide support and coordination of safety practices, systems, and procedures on the project.

 

  • Monitor compliance with the safety systems and procedures within the workplace and provide operational support to the project management team
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and monitoring work areas
  • Assist with conducting incident and accident investigations that may require litigation
  • Assist with workers compensation claims and rehabilitation processes
  • Research and assist with the development of safety policies specific to the project
  • Prepare and maintain reports and documentation concerning the aspects of project safety programs

Experience

  • Diploma Safety in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
  • Ideally 2+ years' experience in a similar role within Health and Safety teams, preferably on large Civil Construction, Mining or Infrastructure Projects
  • Ability to interpret project related documents, preparing reports and monitoring compliance documentation
  • Ability to build relationships and rapport with people at all levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls
  • Strong investigative and auditing skills.
