The Project
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.
The role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Advisor to join our Team. This position will assist in supporting the Work, Health and Safety function under general supervision and implement safety practices, systems and procedures. The position will report to the Safety Manager.
- Providing support, coordination and advice of health and safety practices, systems and procedures including coaching and support to stakeholders across the sites
- Providing technical input to delivery, ensuring that legal and contractual obligations / risks are identified, controlled and communicated appropriately
- Maintaining and implementing the Project's WHS policy, management plans, systems and procedures
- Assist with engagement with client representatives, subcontractors and other stakeholders
- Conducting inductions, toolbox talks, and deliver training sessions
- Conducting regular site inspections, reviews, and audits to schedule
- Assist in incident reporting and investigation
About you
- Diploma Safety in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
- Ideally 5+ years' experience in a similar role within Health and Safety teams, preferably on large Civil Construction, Mining or Infrastructure Projects
- Ability to interpret project related documents, preparing reports and monitoring compliance documentation
- Ability to build relationships and rapport with people at all levels
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls
- Strong investigative and auditing skills.
