The Project
The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031. The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.
The role
As a Civil Supervisor, you will play a critical role in coordinating and supervising daily construction activities on site. Working closely with Superintendents, Engineers and subcontractors, you will ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications, quality requirements and programme timelines. This role requires strong leadership on site, the ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors, and a proactive approach to problem solving within a complex major infrastructure environment.
Responsibilitites
- Supervise daily site activities across civil works including earthworks, structural works and underground utilities
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with project drawings, technical specifications and quality standards
- Lead and promote a strong safety culture in line with project WHS requirements
- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks and site briefings with crews and subcontractors
- Monitor site progress and productivity against programme milestones
- Work closely with Project Engineers and Superintendents to plan and sequence works
- Maintain accurate site records including diaries, inspections and progress reporting
- Ensure environmental and community obligations are maintained
- Support inspections, testing and handover of completed works
About you
- Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor or in a similar role within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge large scale bridge and or road projects will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with a high number of subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- A proactive and solution-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Relevant qualifications in construction, engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Current driver's license and the ability to travel to various sites as required
