About the Role

We are looking for a Quality Manager to co-ordinate and manage all aspects of Quality on the new Waterloo station, an integrated station development.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Manage the compilation of construction quality records and MDRs
  • Manage all processes associated with supplier and subcontractor QA processes, development of the RTF QM processes, ITP’s, liaising with the IR, etc
  • Support the implementation of the organisational Quality Management System to ensure quality objectives and targets are met
  • Manage Quality Team and ensure that the project conforms with ISO and AS/NZS regulatory / legal requirements
  • Manage Sub-contractor quality management compliance
  • Maintain a program of internal audits and issue audit reports
  • Identify, manage and monitor quality objectives, requirements, risks and other issues that may adversely impact the surety of successful project delivery
  • Provide guidance and support to the precinct project management team to develop and maintain a quality culture that drives business improvement
  • Ensure that the workplace maintains robust risk management processes, capability, focus and discipline associated with quality
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to quality staff
  • Handle client expectations and communicate effectively with the project team
  • Understand compliance and reporting procedures and processes and demonstrate leadership in the communication of requirements
  • Provide support, training and guidance in quality as required to staff across the multi-disciplined Project personnel

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

  • Advanced Diploma or Lead Auditor Qualification in Engineering, Science, Building, Construction, Quality Management or Project Management
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Building, Construction, Quality Management or Project Management
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a Senior Management role on a multidisciplinary, major infrastructure project
  • Quality assurance experience gained within the construction, transport or related industries
  • Experience in developing and managing project QA management systems
  • Project management experience
  • Qualified in Management Systems
  • A sound understanding of all relevant Quality Assurance Legislation
  • Suitable software skills and competencies necessary to deliver the business process framework elements
  • Able to guide a multi-disciplined construction team in the technical requirements of the project quality system
  • The ability to interact at all levels of the operation with good verbal and written communication skills
