John Holland is currently seeking a Safety Manager to join the team in Auckland, New Zealand. 

As Safety Manager, you will establish procedures and implement programs to provide a safe and healthy working environmental for all project personnel, provide guidance on safety related matters to the project team leaders, and monitor and measure performance in the field alongside the workforce.

Responsibilities of the role include (but are by no means limited to);
•    Develop and administer HSE education and compliance programs for employees, contractors, and visitors within a defined workplace
•    Contribute to the development and implement occupational health and safety procedures based on approved company policies in the areas of health, safety, and environment
•    Investigate the causes of serious events on site and recommend actions to prevent future occurrences
•    Assist the New Zealand HSE Manager in the education of Project Leaders to manage and oversee compliance and governance with our HSE management systems
•    Provide support, coordination, and advice of approved HSE practices, systems and procedures within a defined workplace
•    Liaise with key stakeholders on HSE specific requirements
•    Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems, and procedures.

To be successful in this key role, you must have;
•    Diploma of Safety in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
•    Cert IV in Environmental Management (desirable)
•    Construction HSE management (5+ years)
•    Knowledge of Safety legislation, statutes, and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to Project.
