Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for an accomplished and well-rounded Commissioning Manager to join our Infrastructure business, who will be based in Melbourne and servicing our Water & Wastewater projects in our region across Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.

 

Responsibilities of the role include;

 

  • Ensuring the process of commissioning preparation and execution is managed, planned, documented, resourced and executed meeting technical requirements
  • Planning, implementing and managing all commissioning and performance activities
  • Providing leadership and technical direction to project teams, design consultants and sub-contractors
  • Identifying risks to commissioning and implementation and applying control measures
  • Managing the identification and achievement of project deliverables

 

To be successful in this key role, you must be able to demonstrate that you have;

 

  • 5+ years experience in the commissioning of municipal (utility) water/wastewater facilities
  • Degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline
  • Comprehensive experience in the detailed planning of commissioning, proving and demonstration of water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and pipelines
  • Proven capability in the development and successful implementation of various commissioning strategies including hydrotesting, disinfection, plant start, process start-up e.g. “seeding”
  • Proficiency in understanding and marking up of process and Instrumentation Drawings, Control Philosophy documents as well as technical data sheets and schedules (Valve, Instrument, Equipment, I/O Lists)
  • Experience in managing or undertaking the development and delivery of operator training programmes
  • Appreciation of the relevant Australian Guidelines for Drinking Water and Water Recycling
  • Appreciation of OHS&E (State) Requirements
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary projects and teams
  • Understanding of construction methodology
