About the role & project

Our Queensland Building business unit are looking for a Contracts Adminstrator for Waterfront Brisbane, delivering a premium commercial tower as part of the landmark Waterfront Brisbane development. The scope includes a high‑rise commercial build within a constrained CBD riverfront environment, requiring complex structural, services and logistics coordination. Waterfront is a high‑profile project offering exposure to Tier 1 systems, safety standards and large‑scale commercial construction delivery.

As a Contracts Administrator you will assist in preparations and negotiate with sub-contractors for the calling of quotations and letting of contracts and provide contract administration services to assist in the project’s control of contract costs.

Some responsibilities include

Draft scopes of works and tender packages to accompany requests for quotations issued to subcontractors for projects
Conduct initial investigations with subcontractors to clarify the organisation’s conditions relating to contracts for prospective projects
Manage and drive the review process to ensure the award of all subcontractors within the required time frame and budget
Operate and maintain commercial and contract systems including Project Costs Reporting (PCR), Asset Registers, Commercial Pack database and Contract Sum.
Minimise all subcontractor variation claims and elimination of claims where possible
Ensure cost forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes are accurately maintained and keep project management teams abreast of any costs issues immediately upon identification

About you

You hold a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commerce, Law or a related discipline, with post‑graduate qualifications considered advantageous. You bring relevant commercial or contract administration experience within construction, engineering, finance or a related environment, and have intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills. You are detail‑driven, commercially aware and comfortable working within structured Tier 1 systems and processes to support successful project delivery.
