Are you up for the challenge?

 

We’re currently looking to recruit an experienced Planning and Project Controls Manager who’ll play a key role in delivering one of the states’ key infrastructure projects based on the Gold Coast.

 

Responsibilities of the role include,

 

  • Ensure project planning activities are conducted in accordance with John Holland policies and procedures
  • Ensure monitoring and reporting of Project Controls processes are successfully set-up and implemented on project
  • Interface with the project team, partners, clients, stakeholders, consultants, designers, vendors, subcontractors for management of the planning function in accordance with established procedures
  • Lead Project & Operations Managers in report interpretation, analysis of project performance, forward planning and development of corrective actions to maximise project delivery outcomes
  • Early identification and communication of issues and opportunities to the Business Group, Region or Major Projects team.
  • Supervise staff undertaking planning and controls activities, exercising functional control over all onsite staff with planning / scheduling responsibilities, including performance through subcontractors
  • Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems and procedures

About you

 

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

 

  • Tertiary degree, preferably in one of the following disciplines - Engineering, Construction, Building, Sciences, Architecture or Project Management, or equivalent experience
  • 10 years + experience in Construction, Engineering, Planning and Project Controls
  • Use of planning software & tools such as Primavera Project Planning, Time Chainage Charts, Schedule Risk Analysis, Program Forensic Analysis, Earned Value and Cash Flow Analysis
  • Experience in the planning process and the use of risk management within a major project environment.
