About the Role
We are currently looking to speak to experienced building Project Manager's with high rise commercial experience to join our iconic Waterfront project in the Brisbane CBD.
The primary purpose of the role is to assist in the successful delivery of the project in accordance with design requirements, time and cost constraints, and commercial, HR, safety, quality, and environment and community targets.
Achieve or exceed project financial targets, identifying and mitigating issues as they arise and capitalising on opportunities.
Responsibilities of the role include
- Manage the delivery of a component of the project, on or ahead of time with all client expectations met
- Assign resources to deliver the works within budget, time, quality and regulatory standards, monitor and workflow, setting daily, weekly, and long-term project goals
- Manage the execution of engineering, procurement and construction activities and adopt appropriate construction methods
- Review progress against plans, contractual arrangements and delivery milestones to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates and take effective remedial action as required
- Financial management: Ensure strong contract, commercial and financial risk management, accurate forecasting of both costs and revenue, take corrective action in line with authority and reporting frameworks
- and maximise the profit margin for the project
- Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental management
- Demonstrate leadership in risk management, compliance and auditing, and ensure legislative, pre-contract and commercial obligations are met, including compliance with the relevant Building Code
- Stakeholder management: Ensure that stakeholders are actively engaged and that beneficial relationships between the project and the client, subcontractors, community and other external parties are developed and maintained
- People management: Monitor staff and labour resourcing to ensure the project has the capability to achieve targets, supervise workforce, including subcontractors, and foster a high performance team within a positive employee relations environment
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor of Engineering, Construction Management, Business or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience project management experience on high rise, commercial or associated projects (in excess of $100 million) within a tier one or two building contractor
- Contemporary practices in design and construction methodology
- Contractual, legal, commercial, industrial relations and legislative compliance management
- Advanced financial and commercial management including cost reduction and meeting budgets
- People and performance management including the performance of subcontractors
- Client relationship and stakeholder management
- Analysis of and reporting on project performance, compliance and defects and/or non-conformance
