About the project

 

Gold Coast Light Rail has transformed public transport on the Gold Coast, helping create an integrated network that connects more people to more places in one of Australia's most dynamic and fastest growing cities.

 

John Holland is GoldlinQ's recommended design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7 kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.

 

Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, and the City of Gold Coast, this city-shaping project will link communities to business centres, shopping, dining, education and medical facilities and cater to the Gold Coast’s expected population growth in the coming decades. 

Are you up for the challenge

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Surveyor to work on this iconic project and develop their digital engineering skills – 3D modelling, BIM, GIS and ADACProject role based in the office on the Gold Coast reporting to the Project Survey Manager.

 

To be successful in this role, you must have;

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Surveying or Spatial Science or Civil Engineering
  • 5+ Years large infrastructure construction industry experience on roads, services and/or rail projects.
  • Intermediate/ expert user experience with 12D Model including.
    • 12D Model programming/ customization
    • 12D Field
    • 12D Model 3D modelling experience particularly with underground services
    • 12D Synergy and AutoCAD experience desirable

About you

 

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to);
 

  • Design data validation
  • Implement survey data workflows and processes, supporting design and construction activities.
  • Responsible for survey data management activities, including calculations, cross-sections, validation and manipulation of information; maintenance of consolidated as-built models, conformance reporting.
  • Establish workflows and approaches that leverage and integrate with existing Digital Engineering & GIS/ Geospatial functions.
