Expression of Interest – Edmonton to Gordonvale (E2G) Project

 

The John Holland, Seymour Whyte and AECOM Joint Venture (HSA) has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the Edmonton to Gordonvale (E2G) Project, south of Cairns.

 

The Bruce Highway – Cairns Southern Access Corridor – Stage 3: Edmonton to Gordonvale project is part of the 15-year Bruce Highway Upgrade Program, a $12.6 billion program of works to improve safety, flood resilience and capacity along the Bruce Highway from Brisbane to Cairns. The program is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments. The works will deliver a total transport solution and long-term improvements to traffic flow and road safety through reducing congestion, reducing highway travel time and improving road access.

 

In preparation for construction of the Project HSA Group is looking to build our talent pool and are seeking motivated, talented and driven individuals to join the team to help deliver this iconic project. HSA is committed to providing local job opportunities and encourages residents to apply.

 

About the Roles

 

John Holland and Seymour Whyte Joint Venture are now seeking expressions of interest for the following workforce roles required to deliver the E2G Project:

 

  • Labourers – skilled and unskilled, including new entrants into the construction industry
  • Concreters and concrete finishers – with previous experience in the construction of columns, headstocks and decks
  • Form workers and Carpenters – with previous experience in the construction of bridges / retaining walls / culverts / pits / headwalls

 

Requirments for Success

 

Mandatory:

  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • White Card
  • Operating Tickets/Licences and Trade certs required for the relevant positions listed above.
  • No FIFO or DIDO - all applicants must reside locally.

 

Desirable:

  • First aid
  • Heavy Vehicle licence
  • Road construction experience
  • Working at Heights
  • Scaffolding
  • Elevated Work Platform
  • Rail Industry Worker Card
