John Holland are delighted to have been selected to deliver the M7 – M12 Interchange project, this project is a key part of improving transport access for residents in Sydney’s West.  This major project will provide both increased road capacity, reduce congestion and travel times for residents in addition to significant improvements to freight movement throughout Western Sydney. 

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic who is looking to come off the tools and move into an audit and compliance role. The main purpose of this critical role is to support the safety and compliance to the project ensuring that all plant and vehicle onsite are safe and fit for purpose. 

Responsibilities 

The role will incorporate a variety of responsibilities, including: 

• Provide support to staff and contractors to ensure compliance 
• Support the Plant Management processes as required 
• Support the On-boarding processes for Heavy Vehicles 
• Assist in mechanical and safety inspection for all vehicles and plant equipment 
• Participate in risk assessments to develop suitable control measures 

About you 

• Diesel/plant mechanic trade 
• Heavy Vehicle Truck License 
• Comfortable with using or learning technology - computer, iPad, online and offline systems. 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Attention to detail 
• Ability to work Day and Night shift where required
