About John Holland:
At John Holland, our purpose is simple – we transform lives with everything we do.

That’s our difference. Deep experience and capability with a genuine care about creating better lives for people along the way.

About The Project:
We’re delighted to have been chosen by Melbourne Water to deliver a world-first solution for the rehabilitation of the Western Trunk Sewer (WTS).
We’ll be relining a 4.4km section of the existing sewer main using a technique known as slip-lining. And while the technology itself isn’t new, no one’s ever done it with such a large diameter pipe – in this case, 4.3 metres – AND in live flow conditions.
The Western Trunk Sewer is one of Melbourne Water’s most important assets, transferring approximately 57 per cent of the city’s total annual wastewater flow.
This project adds to the diverse portfolio of work we’re currently delivering for Melbourne Water, which includes the new Resource Recovery and Re-Use Complex at the Western Treatment Plant in Werribee.
