The Project:

Inland Rail is transforming how goods are moved around Australia, connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. This 1,700km fast freight backbone will complete our national freight network – better connecting producers to markets and creating new opportunities for regional businesses, industries and communities.

The Illabo to Stockinbingal project is about 39km of new rail corridor located within the local government areas of Junee and Cootamundra-Gundagai. This new section of rail corridor will provide a direct route from east of Illabo, tracking north to Stockinbingal and connecting into the existing Forbes rail line.

About The Role:

John Holland is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Leading Hands to join our I2S project. We are looking for skilled individuals with strong civil and structures and drianage experience. The roster you will wokr on is a 2:1 based out of Cootamundra.

In this role you will lead and manage a small to medium size team. Lead and coordinate daily activities and performing various tasks alongside the team to ensure the work is completed in a safe and timely manner.

About You:

Previous Leading Hand experience working in civil construction.
Experience in civil, structures and drainage.
Strong understanding and focus for safety.
Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures and use of PPE always during work activities.
Ability to lead and work as part of a team.
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Constructuon White Card
Other relevant tickets/qualifications.
Ability to work on a 2:1 roster (2weeks on / 1 week off)
Willing to do DIDO (Drive in drive out) or TITO (Train in Train out)
Monday to Friday opportunities for local residents.
