About Inland Rail

Inland Rail is transforming how goods are moved around Australia, connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. This 1,700km fast freight backbone will complete our national freight network – better connecting producers to markets and creating new opportunities for regional businesses, industries and communities.

The Illabo to Stockinbingal project is about 39km of new rail corridor located within the local government areas of Junee and Cootamundra-Gundagai. This new section of rail corridor will provide a direct route from east of Illabo, tracking north to Stockinbingal and connecting into the existing Forbes rail line.

What is needed?

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality, Assurance and Completions Manager to work on our Illabo to Stockinbingal project (I2S) willing to explore a new opportunity in regional NSW.

As Quality, Assurance and Completions Manager you will develop, recommend and implement a quality assurance programme to ensure statutory and contractual compliance with quality requirements on the project.

The role will  be a 2:1 Roster based on site in Stockinbingal and surrounds.

Responsibilities of the role include:

-Implement the organisational Quality Management System on the project to ensure quality objectives and targets are met

-Ensure that the project conforms with ISO and AS/NZS regulatory / legal requirements

-­Identify, manage and monitor quality objectives, requirements, risks and other issues that may adversely impact the surety of successful project delivery

-Provide guidance and support to the project leadership team to develop and maintain a quality culture that drives business improvement

-Ensure that the workplace maintains robust risk management processes, capability, focus and discipline associated with quality

-Provide technical quality expertise for the project

-Ensure that the workplace understands and meets its regulatory and legal obligations as they relate to quality

-Handle client expectations and communicate effectively with the project team

-Select and develop staff within the section to ensure their quality assurance competences

-Provide leadership and mentoring to quality staff

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

-Advanced Diploma or Lead Auditor Qualification in Engineering, Science, Building, Construction, Quality Management or Project Management

-5 years’ experience in a quality management role

-Quality assurance experience gained within the construction, transport or related industries

About you:

-Experience on complex Rail/Infrastructure projects

-Willing to DIDO 

-Be open to working a 2:1 roster (2 weeks on / 1 week off)

-Or, willing to relocate yourself within an hour’s commute of Cootamundra/Stockinbingal.
