About the Novo Rail Alliance

The Novo Rail Alliance delivers Rail Infrastructure projects in the Sydney and surrounding areas extending to Newcastle, Lithgow and Wollongong. The Alliance members include Transport for NSW, Aurecon, Laing O’Rourke and John Holland. The programme Alliance commenced just over 10 years ago and has delivered over $1.3 BN worth of infrastructure projects as a delivery partner for Transport for NSW.
 
About the role
 
Novo Rail Alliance are currently recruiting for a Communications Advisor for an infrastructure project based in Sydney, NSW.
 
Key responsibilities
 
As a Communications Advisor you will be working closely with the Communications Manager, on site at Redfern, to support the Project Team in delivering the project works. This role provides the opportunity to be mentored and trained by an experienced Communications Manager, in a busy, hands-on work environment.  You will be supported to deliver best practice communication and stakeholder engagement initiatives, including but not limited to:

  • production of communications material    
  • community consultation and engagement    
  • delivery of project information    
  • attendance at construction and possession planning meetings
  • database management
  • enquiries and complaints management
  • analysis and reporting

    

You will also be required to coordinate and undertake a number of administration tasks across the project.

  • A relevant Communication, Social Science or Arts degree (majoring in Communications) or equivalent and a keen interest in working in construction and project delivery is necessary
  • Drivers licence
