Gold Coast Light Rail has transformed public transport on the Gold Coast, helping create an integrated network that connects more people to more places in one of Australia's most dynamic and fastest growing cities.

 

John Holland is GoldlinQ's recommended design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7 kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.

 

Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, and the City of Gold Coast, this city-shaping project will link communities to business centres, shopping, dining, education, and medical facilities and cater to the Gold Coast’s expected population growth in the coming decades

We’re currently recruiting for a Document Controller, based in Broadbeach, who’ll play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of this iconic Queensland project. Reporting to the Quality Systems & Completions Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  •  Implement and maintain the project document and records management system based on ISO 15489 Records Management, ISO 9001 Quality Management System, MRTS50 Specific Quality System Requirements, John Holland Integrated Management System, and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure document submissions are in accordance and compliant with the document formats and requirements.
  • Implement workflows and receive documents in accordance with project requirements and approval of design documentation.
  • Plan and record document flow to and from all necessary parties, including clients, sub-contractors, and the project office.
  • Setup and manage hardcopy drawing files, where required.
  • Co-ordinate storage and archiving of project and organisational records.
  • Coach project personnel on good records keeping practices to create full and accurate records of all business activities.
  • Ensure the documents are managed in strict confidence.

About you

 

Skills & Experience required:

 

  • 3 years’ plus experience as a Document Controller in the construction / resources sector.
  • Experience using document management systems Asite or similar Aconex SharePoint and Excel.
  • Bulk uploading document experience across systems.
  • Experience in a project environment with knowledge of project management processes.
  • Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to build rapport efficiently.
