We're currently recruiting a Safety Coordinator to join John Hollands Urban Utilities (UU) Regional Treatment Plants Program team. This role will see you supporting the implementation and monitoring of the UU projects by providing a safe and healthy working environment for all personnel.

Responsibilities of the role include

 

  • Management of Site Induction process including delivery of inductions
  • Management of Team/Workers HRWL, Competencies, Certificates & training records
  • Management of and/or attendance of daily pre-starts & weekly toolboxes
  • Conducting daily breath alcohol testing & temperature testing
  • Management of plant onboarding processes
  • Management of project & company Verification of Competency (VOC) requirements
  • Frequent data entry for Soteria/Roam (HSE recording & reporting system)
  • Data entry into Project Pack Web (PPW) (Quality/Risk assessments & KPI recording & reporting system)
  • Conducting and supporting the team with HSEQ KPI inspections and audits
  • Management of events, incidents & reporting
  • Assisting and advising sub-contracts of all HSEQ/Program requirements.

The ideal person for this role should have the following qualifications & experience

 

  • Minimum Cert IV in Safety, Quality, Environment or Project Management (Bachelor's highly regarded)
  • Safety Lead Auditor Qualification, Internal Environmental Auditor Qualification
  • 3+ years HSEQ experience within the construction industry
  • Well versed with HSEQ management systems, planning techniques, and tools
  • Experienced in quantitative and qualitative risk assessments as well as monitoring of risk controls and actions involved in delivery & implementation of projects
  • Microsoft office suite competent
  • Ability to conduct and interpret audits & reviews
  • The ability to travel to & work from Laidley, QLD.
