About the Role

We are currently looking to speak to Senior Planners to are interested in joining our busy QLD/ NT building business unit to be based in our Fortitude Valley office in Brisbane.

As a Senior Planner, you will establish and manage the process of planning, creating detail programmes, and monitoring performance to deliver the best quality projects on time and budget in accordance with John Holland procedures over the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities of the role include

• Develop and implement planning strategies and audits/ reviews for major projects

• Ensure project planning activities are conducted in accordance with John Holland policies and procedures.

• Ensure monitoring and reporting of Project Controls processes are successfully set-up and implemented on project

• Highlight any issues that may impact the effective, efficient and professional planning resources and support to the project including implementing standard processes and reports.

• Interface with project team, partners, clients,stakeholders, consultants, designers, vendors,subcontractors for management of the planning function in accordance with established procedures

• Provide training and provide guidance to project teams and colleagues in the use of planning and programming systems, project monitoring & controls and the interpretation of data and information

  generated

• Implement project monitoring systems, particularly focussing on time, cost, resources & quality (project controls & earned value). Ensure that planning & controls reports generated across project(s) provide maximum cost and time forecasting certainty for project(s).

• Advise Project Managers in report interpretation, analysis of project performance, forward planning and development of corrective actions to maximise project delivery outcomes

What we are looking for;

• Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or related subject 
• Demonstrated experience in planning roles on major projects (ideally building related) 
• Demonstrated experience of using planning software and tools such as Primevera
• Experience in planning process and the use of risk management
• Exposure to providing support to major projects
