Title:  Senior Project Training Support Advisor

John Holland's Training Academy is a national team of training, workforce capability, and competency management specialists dedicated to supporting project success across Australia. As part of Project Services, we partner with projects from tender development through mobilisation and delivery, providing the expertise, systems, partnerships, and workforce solutions needed to build capable, compliant, and productive workforces. 

As a Senior Project Training Support Advisor, you'll support project teams by providing advice and solutions across training, competency management, workforce development, training partnerships, funding opportunities, and workforce compliance. You’ll help projects build the capability foundations required for successful delivery.  This role can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney, with travel as required.

• Support tender submissions with workforce capability, training, and competency management solutions.
• Develop Training and Competency Management Plans to support project mobilisation.
• Provide advice on workforce compliance, competency management, and training governance requirements.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of competency management systems.
• Build and manage relationships with training providers, TAFEs, Group Training Organisations, and government stakeholders.
• Identify and promote government funding and workforce development opportunities.
• Negotiate training provider arrangements that deliver value to projects.
• Act as a trusted advisor on workforce capability and training matters. 

• Experience in workforce development, training, and competency management.
• Must have on the job experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, mining, resources, utilities, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of workforce compliance, competency management, and training governance requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Experience supporting tenders, project mobilisation, and workforce capability initiatives.
• Experience with competency management systems such as 3D Safety, RIW, Success Factors etc.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).
