About the Project


The John Holland, Seymour Whyte and AECOM Joint Venture (HSA) has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the Edmonton to Gordonvale (E2G) Project, south of Cairns.


The Bruce Highway – Cairns Southern Access Corridor Stage 3: Edmonton to Gordonvale Project will duplicate a 10.5-kilometre section of the highway to create a four-lane highway from Edmonton south to Gordonvale.


The $481 million project is part of the Bruce Highway Upgrade Program, a multi-billion dollar program of works to improve safety, flood resilience and capacity along the Bruce Highway from Brisbane to Cairns.


The program is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments, with the Australian Government contributing up to $10 billion and the Queensland Government contributing up to $2.6 billion.


About the Role


Based in Cairns, HSA Groups’ E2G Project is now recruiting for a talented and driven Communications & Stakeholder Advisor to join the team and play a key role in the successful delivery this iconic North Queensland project.


As the Communications & Stakeholder Advisor your role will be to contribute and support the management and co-ordination of internal and external stakeholder relationships to enhance the reputation of the project.

Responsibilites of the role include:


  • Assist in the development and delivery of Communications and Engagement Plans
  • Undertake research and stakeholder analysis for specific elements of the project
  • Act as primary point of contact and liaison for communities on projects
  • Assist with community displays, workshops, information sessions and reference groups
  • Draft responses to community complaints and enquiries
  • Draft communications materials, such as fact sheets, letters, newsletters, articles and other collateral
  • Enter data into project databases
  • Produce internal and external publications for the project to support our brand and joint venture business

To be successful in this key role, you must have:


  • Tertiary qualifications in journalism, public relations, communications or media.
  • Communications or customer service experience, ideally within a project environment.
  • Strong communication skills including writing and presenting.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills with ability to be multi-task focused.
