The John Holland, Seymour Whyte and AECOM Joint Venture (HSA) has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the Edmonton to Gordonvale (E2G) Project, south of Cairns.

 

The Edmonton to Gordonvale project is part of the 15-year Bruce Highway Upgrade Program, a $12.6 billion program of works to improve safety, flood resilience and capacity along the Bruce Highway from Brisbane to Cairns. The program is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments. The works will deliver a total transport solution and long-term improvements to traffic flow and road safety through reducing congestion, reducing highway travel time and improving road access.

 

The E2G project now has an opportunity for a locally based HSE Administrator to join the team and play a key role in the successful delivery of this Cairns based project.

About the Role

 

As the HSE Administrator your role will be to provide an effective administration and data management service to support the efficient operation of the Project safety function.

 

Responsibilities of the role include but not be limited to the following:

 

  • Provide general administrative support to the Project HSE team
  • Control and manage the HSE document management data and systems in all formats.
  • Manage and maintain all project HSE records, including but not limited to Task Risk Assessment (TRAs), Hazard Cards, Safety Inspections, GMR Audits and Start Cards
  • Ensure that HSE data and documentation is uploaded and/or recorded in a timely manner to ensure the continual accuracy of reporting data
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to HSE Coordinators in the effective management of Workers Compensation Claims
  • Assist in the identification and coordination of training requirements for Project personnel and liaise with the HR/Training teams to action requirements
  • Assist in the coordination of Project and site specific inductions for personnel and ensure all documentation is recorded in line with internal and Client requirements

 

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

 

  • Ideally have experienced in a similar role preferably within a civil infrastructure environment
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a high volume administration role
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy skills
  • Development of efficient data administration processes and procedures
  • Certificate II, III, IV in Business Administration and or Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (Training can be provided for this)
