About the Role
John Holland is looking for a Project Finance & Administration Lead to join our North East Link - Hoddle to Burke project
Eastern Hoddle Bourke Alliance (EHBA), comprising John Holland, Seymour Whyte, Mott MacDonald and Jacobs, in partnership with MRPV, is delivering a major upgrade of Melbourne's Eastern Freeway as part of the North East Link Project. The project includes:
- 6km of freeway widening with additional lanes in both directions
- 3km dedicated busway separated from mainline traffic
- Major bridge and structural works, including a new Yarra River bridge
- Installation of retaining walls, drainage, noise walls, ITS, lighting and signage
In this role, you will provide administrative and commercial support to the project team while leading and developing a team of Site Administrators. You will contribute to project success by promoting EHBA's safety, environmental, quality and compliance standards, while ensuring efficient project administration and commercial processes.
Role responsibilities
- Lead and support Project/Site Administrators, including workload allocation, training and day-to-day supervision.
- Oversee project finance administration, including invoice processing, payment approvals and vendor payment preparation.
- Support procurement activities and coordinate the purchase of goods and services in line with company procedures.
- Prepare accruals, cost forecasts and financial reports to support project performance and decision-making.
- Coordinate project documentation, correspondence, meeting minutes, presentations and record management.
- Manage payment and invoice enquiries, ensuring compliance with company policies, legislation and industry standards.
About You
- Certificate III in Business Administration (or equivalent) and a current Driver’s Licence.
- Experience in job costing, purchasing, and accounts administration, preferably within construction.
- Proficiency in Viewpoint (or similar systems) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and work collaboratively.
