John Holland Rail is seeking a Project Engineer to join our project team at Canterbury in Sydney.

 

Responsibilities of this role;
-Coordinate & administer construction engineering activities in accordance with plans, designs & specifications
-Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets & reports
-Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme
-Interpret designs for implementation & contribute to improvements 
-Arrange & oversee the letting of tenders
-Execute working knowledge of contractual obligations & legislation relevant to the project
-Undertake risk assessments to ensure acceptable quality of structures & finishes 
-Manage performance of teams & subcontractors to achieve project outcomes
-Performing all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems, reporting & procedures.

 

To be successful in this key role, you must have;
-A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent 
-Diploma of Project Management in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent
-More than 3 years’ engineering experience in Light/Heavy Rail 
-Experienced working closely with Quality, Safety & Environmental teams
-Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills
-You need to be able to meet any requirements which are necessary to safely perform your role (e.g. receiving a COVID-19 vaccination pursuant to a relevant health order or by clients, or as otherwise required)
