John Holland has recently been announced as the partner to deliver the Inland Rail, Illabo to Stockinbingal (I2S) works in NSW and we are seeking people interested in being part of the team that will deliver this critical project.
About Inland Rail
Inland Rail is transforming how goods are moved around Australia, connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. This 1,700km fast freight backbone will complete our national freight network – better connecting producers to markets and creating new opportunities for regional businesses, industries and communities.
The Illabo to Stockinbingal project is about 39km of new rail corridor located within the local government areas of Junee and Cootamundra-Gundagai. This new section of rail corridor will provide a direct route from east of Illabo, tracking north to Stockinbingal and connecting into the existing Forbes rail line.
What is needed?
We are currently seeking an experienced Community and Stakeholder Advisor for this regional NSW based project. The role will be based on site.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify stakeholder and community issues and develop strategies to minimise impacts
- Undertake consultation, with local stakeholders and community members and coordinate and support regular meetings
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with key project stakeholders and client representatives
- Plan and manage contact with external stakeholders and the community in a way that enhances the reputation of I2S and organisation partners
- Provide advice and assistance to the construction teams on community and stakeholder activities so communication and notification requirements are understood in accordance with the Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Management Plan
- Write and develop a range of high-quality communication materials, including notifications, newsletters, advertising, social media posts and formal correspondence
- Manage responses to all project related communication matters including via phone, email, website and social media in line with agreed client framework
- Assist in the identification, development and management of promotional opportunities for the project and its construction (i.e. media, presentations, milestones etc)
About you
- Be open to working a 2:1 roster (2 weeks on / 1 week off) or;
- Be willing to relocate yourself within an hour’s commute of Cootamundra/Stockinbingal.
- Experience on complex Rail/Infrastructure projects
