Inland Rail is transforming how goods are moved around Australia, connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. This 1,700km fast freight backbone will complete our national freight network – better connecting producers to markets and creating new opportunities for regional businesses, industries and communities.
 
The Illabo to Stockinbingal project is about 39km of new rail corridor located within the local government areas of Junee and Cootamundra-Gundagai. This new section of rail corridor will provide a direct route from east of Illabo, tracking north to Stockinbingal and connecting into the existing Forbes rail line.

About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Administrator to join our I2S project. 

The role would suit a candidate able to multi-task, with a knowledge of data and administrative management practices. You will be managing the day-to-day activities of the Project Management team, including schedule/calendar planning, report production, office management, and maintaining data management systems. Your attention to detail, organisational skills and helpful disposition will set you apart.  We need you to be the administrative subject matter expert and provide high level administrative support to your team. 

This role will be based in our Mascot Office until construction commences in July. It will then be a 2-1 roster role, based out of the project camp in Stockinbingal.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Cost tracking for subcontractors, and forecasting for areas of responsibility.
  • Reviewing cost code allocations and correct allocation of costs incurred.
  • Ensure expenses and invoices are processed and are in line with contractual obligations.
  • Prepare, review and disseminate month-end reports
  • Assist with financial reporting as required.
  • Ensure timesheets are processed in a timely manner including entering reports for approval
  • Sending out communications as required about month-end process or requirements for financial processes or timesheets process for the correct payments for workers.
  • Assist in the creation and preparation of correspondence, documents, reports, presentations, and/or publications.
  • Reviewing monthly charges and challenging incorrect allocations.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Strong data processing skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills
  • A can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a Construction or Heavy Industrial environment
  • Current Driver’s Licence


About you:

  • Experience on complex Rail/Infrastructure projects
  • Willing to DIDO
  • Or, willing to relocate yourself within an hour’s commute of Cootamundra/Stockinbingal.
  • Be open to working a 2:1 roster (2 weeks on / 1 week off)
