About John Holland

The Illabo to Stockinbingal project is about 39km of new rail corridor located within the local government areas of Junee and Cootamundra-Gundagai. This new section of rail corridor will provide a direct route from east of Illabo, tracking north to Stockinbingal and connecting into the existing Forbes rail line.

 

What is needed?
We are currently seeking an experienced Quality and Completions Manager to work on our newly awarded Illabo to Stockinbingal project (I2S) willing to explore a new opportunity in regional NSW . 

 

As Quality and Completions Manager you will develop, recommend and implement the quality assurance programme to ensure statutory and contractual compliance with quality and completion requirements on the project.

 

This role will be a Monday-Friday Sydney-based role. This role will require ad hoc travel to the site compounds on an as needed basis.


Responsibilities of the role include;

  • Implement the organisational and project Quality and Completions Management System on the project to ensure quality objectives and targets are met
  • Ensure that the project conforms with ISO and AS/NZS regulatory / legal requirements
  • Identify, manage and monitor quality and completion objectives, requirements, risks and other issues that may adversely impact the surety of successful project delivery
  • Provide guidance and support to the project leadership team to develop and maintain a quality culture that drives business improvement
  • Ensure that the workplace maintains robust risk management processes, capability, focus and discipline associated with quality
  • Provide technical quality expertise for the project
  • Ensure that the workplace understands and meets its contractual, regulatory and legal obligations as they relate to quality and completions
  • Handle client expectations and communicate effectively with the project team
  • Develop staff within the section to ensure their quality assurance competences
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to all staff in relation to quality and completions
  • Understand compliance and reporting procedures and processes and demonstrate leadership in the communication of requirements
  • Lead investigations into non-conformances to identify root causes and lessons learned and complete any close-out reporting as required
  • Manage the Project Document Management System, including information handling, correspondence and workflow review system for the project
  • Implement the Project Audit Schedule and prepare audit reports summarising production and quality issues and recommending actions to rectify non-compliance
  • Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems and procedures

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

  • Advanced Diploma or Lead Auditor Qualification in Engineering, Science, Building, Construction, Quality Management or Project Management
  • 5 years’ experience in a quality management role
  • Lead auditor qualifications and ICAM training
  • Quality assurance experience gained within the construction, transport or related industries
