We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sustainability Advisor to join us in delivering the MTMS Project. 
Under the direction of the Project Services Manager, this individual will support the sustainability team and wider project teams to achieve project sustainability deliverables and targets, including our Infrastructure Sustainability Council rating.

 

The role responsibilities will be tailored to reflect the successful candidate’s experience, expertise and professional growth aspirations.  Role responsibilities include:
-Implementation of actions, procedures and tools to successfully integrate sustainability into all aspects of  project delivery.
-Liaise and collaborate with all stakeholders including TfNSW, ISC, Sydney Trains, John Holland Group Sustainability and local councils.
-Providing advice and support to the construction and other project teams in relation to sustainability requirements and outcomes. 
-Coordinating with all disciplines to ensure performance is meeting Infrastructure Council Sustainability (ISC) and contractual requirements across key areas including climate change, energy and carbon, water, materials, waste, heritage and community.
-Collect, monitor, analyse and manage data and evidence associated with sustainability objectives and rating tools.
-Support the implementation of initiatives across the project to achieve positive sustainability outcomes.
-Monitor, measure and evaluate the project’s sustainability performance in order to improve project practices, policies and processes and, to gain optimal outcomes on the project.
-Leadership of a Sustainability Graduate.
 
 
To be successful in this key role, you should have:
-Bachelor of Engineering, Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability or other associated disciplines
-A drive to support market transformation to more sustainable practices in delivering infrastructure and buildings projects
-Construction sustainability / environmental management experience, ideally with delivering  infrastructure projects (1-5 years)
-Understanding of sustainability principles, ISC rating schemes and standards
-Demonstrated experience of being able to successfully influence outcomes
-Able to successfully coordinate the development and delivery of programs of work, including demonstrated project and change management skills
-Proficient at measuring, analysing and communicating sustainability performance
