About the Asset Services Platform team
We are leading the way in technology for Rail & Transport Asset Management. Join us in our mission to transform and set ourselves apart as industry leaders, challenging the status quo in the Operations & Maintenance sector. Contribute to the development of our Asset Services Platform, which includes:
- The utilisation of a variety of advanced technologies including Maximo / MAS for Enterprise Asset Management, a low code application platform for rapid application development, and robust data analytics and visualisation tools.
- A focus on the development and transformation of our Asset Services Platform (ASP), which includes integrating advanced technologies to optimise asset management and reduce operational risks. Additionally, we are leading a major Digital Transformation in Operations & Maintenance, driving significant changes and improvements in our processes.
Are you up for the challenge?
We are looking for an experienced Maximo Specialist to join our IT team in the role of Asset Services Platform (ASP) Maximo Lead. This role can be based out of the Flinders Gate office in Melbourne or Pyrmont office in Sydney.
In this role you will lead the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of the Maximo-based Asset Services Platform, ensuring it meets John Holland’s asset management needs across projects, operations, and joint ventures.
About the Role
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of IBM Maximo / MAS.
- Ensure Maximo / MAS aligns with ASP / business needs regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Lead system support and issue resolution for Maximo and Mendix applications.
- Provide technical guidance on architecture, APIs, middleware, and data flows across Maximo / MAS platforms.
- Provide technical and functional support for other ASP systems, including Mendix-based applications.
- Work closely with business units (including across projects and joint ventures), IT, and vendors to gather requirements, define solutions, and manage expectations across Maximo and other ASP systems.
- Act as a key liaison for cross-platform initiatives and support.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration between ASP systems inc. Maximo, Workday and Mendix platforms.
- Coordinate integration of Maximo with other enterprise systems (e.g., GIS, ERP, SCADA, IoT, Mendix).
- Identify and implement system enhancements and process improvements.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and support of ASP System integrations with other systems.
- Participate in low-code solution design, testing, and deployment using Mendix where applicable.
- Perform all duties in accordance with JH policies, processes, systems, and procedures.
About You
Whilst holding relevant tertiary qualifications in IT (or equivalent) is ideal for this position, the key criterion for success is substantial direct experience with IBM Maximo (v.7.6+ and MAS 8/9) and strong knowledge of Maximo modules: Asset, Work, Inventory, Procurement.
Your broader experience has given you proficiency in Automation Scripts (Python, JavaScript), REST/SOAP APIs, and Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), as well as in SQL and working with DB2 or Oracle databases.
Proven experience with workflow configuration, security groups, and domain management is essential, as is experience in leading enterprise-wide Maximo/MAS deployments.
