About the Project

The project aims to address the growing congestion and capacity issues in Melbourne's rail network by creating additional rail infrastructure.

The new underground stations will be located at Arden, Parkville, CBD North, CBD South, and Domain. These stations will be integrated into the existing rail network and will provide improved access to key destinations such as universities, hospitals, and employment precincts.

The Melbourne Metro project also includes the construction of new rail tunnels, tracks, and associated infrastructure to support the operation of the new rail line.

Overall, the Melbourne Metro Tunnel and Stations project is a significant investment in Melbourne's public transportation system, aimed at enhancing capacity, improving connectivity, and providing a more efficient and sustainable mode of transport for the growing population.
