We are currently seeking to engage a BIM Coordinator to join our Technology, Engineering and Knowledge (TEK) team. This role is based in Melbourne, initially seconded into one of our major infrastructure projects.

 

The role entails utilising your specialised BIM knowledge and technical skillsets into the current and future Digital Engineering processes on the project during design and delivery phase.

 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

 

Contribution to the delivery of BIM deliverables for the project.

Assist in the ongoing development of the project BIM process, standards and implementation     needs.

Promotion and assistance of BIM usage within the JV and project-wide need.

Model Management for project-based discipline models, including maintenance and setup.

Assist in the review and documentation design coordination conflicts.

Schedule and facilitate coordination meetings along with Digital Engineering teams, Design Management and Project Management as needed. 

Compile, run and analyse clash detection on federated project models.

Meet with designers/stakeholders as required to interact and review models/data as needed whilst performing all duties in accordance with JH/project policies, process, systems, reporting and procedures.

Assist with development and maintenance of multiple CDE (Common Data Environment) for ongoing project collaboration.

Ability to provide input into model-based auditing requirements such as clash detection, model reporting and provide feedback of outcome to internal/external stakeholders.

 

To be successful in this role, the following skills are required;

 

Architecture, Engineering or Construction based bachelor's degree/Diploma with a minimum

5+ years' experience using a BIM toolset environment in an Infrastructure / Building / Construction based field.

 

Advanced knowledge and understanding of BIM technology and its project based applications to areas such as but not limited to; project design delivery, construction delivery, temporary works sequencing, estimation (QTO tracking) planning, sequencing and a working knowledge of 4D, 5D and 6D use case and overall purpose requirements. 

Understanding of construction project workflow requirements and basic project management including commercial requirements around BIM and ongoing JV needs. 

 

Problem solving, technical and analytical skills to support the implementation of organisational policies, procedures and project engineering operations.  

 

Ability to work within a matrix management model, influencing stakeholders and achieve 'Best for Project' outcomes.
