North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of four Alliance partners – John Holland, KBR, MTM, V/Line and the client (LXRP), working together as one team to achieve shared goals.   Since 2017, the Victorian Government has entrusted North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) and our Alliance partners to remove dangerous and congested level crossings, deliver new rail stations and infrastructure, and create more community open spaces.  

 

Our Alliance currently has three projects in delivery and two in development phase, along with the successful delivery of ten level crossing removal projects (17LX) and several premium stations.

NWPA are looking for a Completions Engineer to join the alliance.

About the Role

 

The Completions Engineer exists to support the completion and integrity of asset information to ensure that gain share is maximised and that asset handover is safe, compliant and integrates with the network in accordance with the requirements of the relevant ARTO and NWPA

baseline standards.

Responsibilities of the role include / What you will do;

 

• Work under the direction of the Senior Completions Advisor to coordinate completion activities for assigned projects in accordance with NWPA Program Alliance Agreement (PAA) - Schedule 19 (Part 1 & Part 2) contributing to NWPA program of Works

• Meet Completions process deliverables as set by the Project or Program brief in accordance with the relevant ARTO’s requirements and applicable project management frameworks across the project life cycle

• Advise and support the Project team to achieve completions obligations for the project/package.

• Define applicable aspects of the ARTO’s Project Management Framework during planning to ensure compliance

• Ensure adherence to Completion and Handover Management Plan

• Apply project management knowledge, skills, tools and methodologies throughout all stages of the project life cycle

• Identify and resolve process and operational issues with relevant stakeholders to ensure project integration can be accomplished to agreed performance characteristics.

• Provide training/support to project team in relation to asset management.

• Provision of management reports as required

• Ensure adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements as well as internal processes and guidelines.

• Manage a variety of internal stakeholder groups to coordinate the close-out of completions deliverables within agreed timeframes, the collection and collation of asset data, and issue resolution.

• Manage asset approval processes and ensure close-out documentation and drawings are finalised to achieve project close-out and sign-off.

• Facilitate stakeholder defect walks and record and maintain all defects in JH PPW system

 

 

To be successful in this role, you will have;

 

• Tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent

• Demonstrated Tier 1 experience in Engineering, Rail, Project Management and/or Construction

• Demonstrated experience in Completions

• Working knowledge of ARTO operations and stakeholders

• Achieves a high level of client satisfaction

• Delivers work within agreed time, cost and quality standards

• Demonstrates a clear understanding of client requirements

• Demonstrates strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple, conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment

• Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of team, maintaining attention to detail while meeting deadlines

• Seeks opportunities for continuous improvement and ways to innovate
