The primary purpose of this role is the preparation of overhead budgets for multiple corporate locations and St Kilda Rd office, including re-forecasting and analysis of actual vs budget variances and assist respective EGMs to manage budget spend within allowances. Management of vendor on-line application and provision of other ad-hoc accounting advice to support the business. Facilitate finance process and system improvements and embed policies, systems and processes to support effective finance service delivery and provide financial analysis, insights and value-add business advice to various stakeholders whilst maintaining an acceptable level of risk.


Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Establish annual budgets ($60m) for corporate functions (average 200 head-count)
  • Monthly costing, reporting, forecasting and variance analysis of these budgets
  • Management of Vendor (management) Online application
  • Backup for PCR EFT authorisation, EFT approval in CBA and Cheque signatory
  • Accounting and financial administration support to Business Groups, Regions and Projects

To be successful in this role:

  • 5-10 years accounting experience with construction industry
  • Demonstrated experience in financial and management accounting
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management and compliance reporting and procedures
  • Computer proficiency in relevant software, e.g. GL systems
