North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of four Alliance partners – John Holland, KBR, MTM, V/Line and the client (LXRP), working together as one team to achieve shared goals. Since 2017, NWPA has had a proven track record with the successful delivery of eight level crossing removal projects (17 LX) and several premium stations, with three projects currently in delivery and two in development phase.

We are currently looking for an Delivery Manager to join us on a permanent basis to work across NWPA.
About the role
As a Delivery Manager you will control and coordinate all site-based construction activities to ensure that assigned construction works are completed to the client’s satisfaction and to meet quality, time and profit objectives. Support Project Manager to achieve or exceed financial targets, identifying and mitigating issues as they arise and capitalising on opportunities.
Responsibilities of the role include
• Manage the execution of engineering, procurement, and construction activities using contemporary construction methodologies.
• Control and coordinate all site-based activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery.
• Authorise and oversee construction planning, programming, and completion schedules.
• Monitor progress and performance against project milestones, budgets, and KPIs, taking corrective action as needed.
• Ensure robust contract, commercial, and financial risk management.
• Accurately forecast costs and revenue and maximise project profit margins.
• Manage subcontractor engagement, performance, and variations.
• Build and lead high-performing teams, including internal staff and subcontractors.
• Monitor and manage workforce capability to meet project demands.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, community stakeholders, and other external parties.
• Ensure active stakeholder engagement and alignment with project goals.
• Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) management.
• Ensure compliance with legislative, contractual, and company requirements, including the Building Code and Rail Safety standards.
• Contribute to audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support new business development and pre-contract activities as required.
• Contribute to broader business initiatives, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
• Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems and procedures
To be successful in this role; you will have;
• Trade qualification in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or Business Management More
• Tertiary degree in Engineering, Science, Building, Construction or equivalent
• Diploma of Project Management
• Graduate Certificate
• Certificate IV Safety
• Demonstrated years of experience gained on construction, engineering or associated projects
• Contemporary practices in construction methodology
• Contractual, legal, commercial, industrial relations and legislative compliance management
• People and performance management experience including industrial relations / unions
• Rail experience
• Advanced financial management including cost reduction and meeting budgets
• Development and delivery of a process and/or product system of audits and schedules
• Advanced skills in relevant computer software packages
